FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When should I show up to the golf course?   Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your tee time to check in at registration.

What if there is bad weather, how will I be updated?   Any delays or cancellations will be on a banner on our website and will be posted throughout our social media. Plan on playing!

When will Tee Times be posted?   Tee times will be posted 24 hours prior to the event on our TEE TIMES PAGE.

When will results be posted?   Results will be posted as soon as possible following the event on our RESULTS PAGE.

Are there awards?   Always. Awards will be given to 1st and 2nd place for each division.

What scores do players typically score in each division?   Please check our RESULTS PAGES to view past scores for each division.

Will there be rules officials?   Yes, and they are the best. Officials will be riding/walking around the course and available when rulings are needed. The rules officials will be supporting, observing, encouraging, and watching the conduct of all players.

Can a player withdraw from an event?   Yes. Please email frank@wmgolf.org at least 72 hours before the event.

Will there be a refund after withdrawing?   Yes, and in full, as long as it is 72 hours before the event.

What about Scholarships?   West Michigan Golf – Junior Tour has good relationships with numerous college coaches. College coaches prioritize recruits in this order: 1. School grades. 2. Being coachable. 3. On-course ability (especially short game). Scores will improve as you get older. Grades are the most important thing you can do for yourself. Your reputation and impressions are very, very important. As college coaches look, we help identify golfers with integrity and good character who represent the best of West Michigan.
